Event Description
Want to see tarantulas in the wild? Missouri is home to the most northeastern population of tarantulas in North America.
Join two experienced instructors who have contributed to tarantula research as they guide you through the rocky glades these remarkable arachnids call home. Learn how they survive, why they matter, and what makes Missouri’s population so special.
If you love hands-on discovery and exploring the unexpected, this is an educational adventure you will not want to miss.
Things to Know & Required:
Be prepared to hike 2–3 miles of bushwhacking, round-trip.
Wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for the outdoors.
You must provide your own water and snacks for the hike.
