They conduct a multitude of public outreach sky observing sessions throughout the year and are very much interested in sharing their telescopes and knowledge with Earth’s Classroom! The evening will start with an introduction about different telescopes, viewable objects in the night sky, and other astronomy related topics. Then let the EMDSO instructors assist you in viewing the amazing worlds beyond ours. Bring folding chairs and/or blankets so that you may kick back and relax. Sky charts and lights will be provided.

· June 21st: On Courtois Creek, river mileage 6.9-15.4/ moderate canoeing, but beginners welcomed. Gorgeous tributary to the Huzzah then Meramec. May drag in places, crystal clear waters, gorgeous small bluffs, quiet! Quite the charming Ozark stream!
· July 2nd: On Huzzah Creek, river mileage 16.3-28.4/ moderate canoeing, but beginners welcomed. Like Courtois, beautiful, clean waters, small springs and gravel bars. Tributary to the Meramec. Wonderful snorkeling!
· July 12th and August 6th: On Meramec River, river mileage 26.2-35.1/ great for beginners but fun for all! Canoe pass Meramec Springs and old iron works which we will stop to visit. If not the best, one of the most diverse and fun sections of the Meramec!
· August 13th: On Meramec River, river mileage 83.2-88.0/ perfect for uneasy beginners, no big obstacles in the way, lots of space thus great canoe learning environment, but still wonderful enjoyment for even the well experienced. Canoe pass Green’s Cave which is most spectacular with its 90’ high entrance and beautiful waters gushing out. Bring a flashlight for investigation and great education on cave ecology!
